2010 State Legislative Agenda

The Minnesota AIDS Project's mission is to lead Minnesota's fight to stop HIV through advocacy, education, and service.

Our Public Policy program strives to meet this mission by advancing policy initiatives related to HIV prevention and services for people living with HIV.

Protect state funding resources

• State HIV prevention funds for targeted HIV prevention community
  programs
• State funds for programs that provide services for people living with
  HIV
  

Advance legislation on HIV education and prevention\

• Responsible sexuality education, in partnership with the Coalition for
  Responsible Sex Ed
• Basic HIV education for all Minnesotans
  

Partner on HIV related policy efforts

• Access to affordable, high quality health care
• Access to stable, affordable housing
• Integration of mental health and chemical health services
